Job summary

Australian Capital Territory is seeking a Senior Director, Landscape Strategy and Partnerships to help establish Australia’s first Office of the Landscape Architect in Canberra. This temporary, full-time role focuses on governance, stakeholder engagement and strategic foundations to support the ACT's first Landscape Plan.

The position offers a chance to shape long-term policy across planning, climate, biodiversity and placemaking, with potential hybrid work arrangements and immediate start.

Responsibilities

• Help establish governance, communication and reporting frameworks for the new Office of the Landscape Architect.
• Build trusted relationships across government, industry, academia, community organisations and First Nations stakeholders to develop a shared vision for Canberra's future landscapes.
• Lead strategic engagement with Ministers, Directorates, senior executives and key stakeholders to position the office as a centre of expertise in landscape planning, climate adaptation, biodiversity conservation, living infrastructure and placemaking.
• Set up governance, stakeholder engagement and strategic foundations required to support development and implementation of the ACT's first Landscape Plan.
