Job summary

ACT Government is seeking a Senior Spatial Data Analyst to develop the evidence base for the ACT’s Landscape Plan. You will work at the intersection of landscape planning, environmental science and spatial technology to inform strategic decisions across the Territory.

You will collect, manage, analyse, interpret and visualize spatial information to support landscape planning, conservation, climate adaptation and urban development outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proficient in GIS, spatial modelling and environmental data handling.
• Ability to translate complex environmental data into practical insights for planning.
• Experience working with large datasets and mapping products.

Responsibilities

• Collect, manage, analyse, interpret and visualize spatial information for landscape planning and urban development.
• Develop and maintain GIS tools, datasets and analytical products to support the Landscape Plan.
• Collaborate with landscape architects, planners and policy teams to ensure data-driven decisions.
