Job summary

ADW Johnson in NSW is seeking a Senior Landscape Architect to lead and grow our Landscape Architecture team, delivering masterplanned communities, public open spaces, parks, streetscapes, recreation facilities, community infrastructure and public realm projects across NSW.

You will mentor staff, strengthen client relationships and contribute to business development, while helping shape the growth of our practice within a collaborative, multidisciplinary consultancy that values long-term careers

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in landscape architecture.
• Qualifications in Landscape Architecture and AILA membership or eligibility.
• Experience in NSW delivering public realm, open space and community infrastructure.
• Strong design, technical and project management capabilities.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Commercial mindset with desire for business development.

The Opportunity

This is more than a project delivery role.

As a Senior Landscape Architect, you will provide leadership across a diverse portfolio of projects including masterplanned communities, public open space networks, parks, streetscapes, recreation facilities, community infrastructure and public realm projects.

You will work closely with our Planning, Urban Design, Engineering and Surveying teams to create places that are both functional and memorable. In addition to leading project delivery, you will mentor staff, strengthen client relationships and contribute to business development and the continued growth of our landscape architecture offering.

About You

You will bring:

• 8+ years' experience in Landscape Architecture.
• Qualifications in Landscape Architecture and membership (or eligibility for membership) with the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects.
• Demonstrated experience in NSW delivering public realm, open space and community infrastructure projects.
• Strong design, technical and project management capabilities.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• The ability to build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• A commercial mindset and genuine interest in business development.
• A passion for creating places that improve community outcomes.

Highly Regarded

• Experience in residential communities, masterplanned developments and urban renewal projects.
• Experience working with local government, state government or major private-sector developers.
• Established industry networks within NSW.
• Experience securing and managing repeat client work.
