National Measurement Institute is seeking a Senior Laboratory Services Officer (APS Level 6) to provide advanced administrative and technical support across North Ryde and Port Melbourne laboratories. The role requires strong scientific background, attention to quality and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, supervise staff, support training, and ensure accurate reporting of analytical results.

Formación

• Diploma or degree in a science-related field and at least five years in an analytical laboratory.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor, coach and develop staff.
• Understanding of NATA accreditation requirements, quality management systems and laboratory compliance.

Responsabilidades

• Provide day-to-day operational leadership and support to the Laboratory Services team.
• Assist with staff supervision and workflow coordination to ensure timely delivery of results.
• Support training, mentoring and development of Laboratory Services staff.
• Provide complex administrative and technical support for Analytical Services operations.
• Coordinate timely reporting of analytical results to clients and manage LIMS reports.
