Job summary

Firmus is seeking a Senior Kubernetes Platform Engineer to own the Kubernetes estate that powers all products and tenants. This hands-on role covers the platform controller layer, virtual cluster tenancy, GPU integration, and fleet automation—ensuring reliability across a 24/7 environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining cluster lifecycle, upgrade paths, and incident response. Strong Go/Python scripting, IaC (Terraform/OpenTofu), and multi-tenant patterns are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in platform/infrastructure engineering.
• Production Kubernetes platforms in a 24/7 environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain multi-tenant Kubernetes platform across the fleet.
• Build operational tooling and automation to enable fleet-scale operations.
• Execute lifecycle management: provisioning, patching, upgrades and decommissioning of clusters.
• Manage etcd, API server, controllers, schedulers and credential rotation in production.
• Lead incident response and post-incident reviews for Kubernetes outages.
• Mentor engineers and document runbooks and procedures.
