Job summary

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in social work, human services, or a related field.
• Extensive knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and ATSICPP.
• Experience in child protection practice and kinship care.
• Strong leadership, supervision and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead kinship carers assessments and approvals with a focus on cultural safety.
• Ensure assessments comply with legislation, policy, and quality standards.
• Oversee risk analyses and provide clear, defensible recommendations.
• Collaborate with Child Safety, stakeholders and community partners.
• Travel across Rockhampton and Emerald regions to support service delivery.
