Job summary
Xcel Group is establishing a new commercial joinery facility in Western Sydney and seeks a senior Joinery Workshop Manager to own and build the operation from the ground up. You will oversee from estimating and shop drawings through CNC production, workshop management and project delivery.
The role requires strong commercial joinery experience, access to CAD/CAM tools, and proven leadership in a busy production environment.
Qualifications
- Trade qualification in Cabinetmaking, Joinery or related trade.
- Strong commercial joinery experience.
- Experience with CAD/CAM and CNC manufacturing software.
- Ability to read architectural drawings.
- Experience with nesting and production optimisation.
Responsibilities
- Pricing and estimating commercial joinery projects
- Reviewing architectural drawings, specifications and project documentation
- Preparing accurate material and labour take-offs
- Producing detailed joinery shop drawings for client/architect approval
- Preparing drawings and programs suitable for CNC manufacturing
- Operating and/or overseeing CNC machinery
- Programming and optimising CNC production and nesting
- Managing projects from award through to manufacturing
- Planning workshop production and scheduling
- Coordinating material procurement and hardware
