Job summary

Experis Australia is seeking a Senior Java Integration Developer to lead design and delivery of secure integration services within a government-focused environment. This onsite role in Sydney requires an active Australian Government Baseline Clearance or higher (NV1/NV2) and hands-on leadership across development, testing, deployment and production support.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of commercial Java development experience.
• Extensive experience delivering enterprise integration solutions at senior or lead level.
• Strong expertise designing and building SOAP/XML web services and related transformations.
• Hands-on delivery of certificate-based authentication, mTLS and message signing.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design of enterprise integration solutions.
• Develop and maintain Java-based integration microservices.
• Design and implement JSON to SOAP/XML transformations.
• Build asynchronous processing with queuing, retries and failure management.
• Deliver secure integrations using mTLS, PKI and digital signing.
• Define and maintain interface contracts and schema mappings.
• Mentor developers and provide technical leadership across integration initiatives.
