Job summary

Macquarie Group in Sydney is seeking a hands-on Java Engineer to contribute to the development of next-generation platforms. You will design, develop and support cloud-native applications across the stack, working with engineers, product managers and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software.

You will build scalable web services with Java and Spring Boot, maintain code quality, testing and security, and continuously learn to advance engineering excellence within the team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Java Engineer with experience in building cloud-native applications.
• Experience delivering complex engineering initiatives in a product-driven, Agile environment.
• Strong knowledge of scalable, performant web applications and security standards.
• Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and support cloud-native Java/Spring Boot services.
• Work with engineers, product managers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software.
• Contribute across the full technology stack, APIs and data layers.
• Ensure high code quality, testing and security are non-negotiable.
