Job summary

Macquarie Bank Limited in Sydney seeks an experienced Java back-end developer to design, develop, test and support Java-based applications and services, analyzing business and technical challenges to deliver reliable software solutions.

You will contribute to new application development, feature enhancements and migration initiatives, with a focus on RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud technologies such as AWS, Docker or Kubernetes, and front-end work with Angular or React where required.

Qualifications

4+ years’ of experience in Core Java development.
Experience with modern Java features, SOLID principles and functional programming.
2+ years’ of experience with Spring and Spring Boot.
Understanding of microservices architecture, relational databases and SQL.
Experience developing RESTful APIs and working with cloud technologies such as AWS, Docker or Kubernetes.
Experience developing Java backend applications and user interface solutions using technologies such as Angular or React.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test and support Java-based applications and services.
Analyse business and technical challenges and deliver reliable software solutions.
Contribute to new application development, feature enhancements and migration initiatives.
