Job summary

Macquarie Group is seeking an experienced Java-focused software engineer to design, develop, test and support backend services. You will analyze business and technical challenges, delivering reliable software solutions and contributing to new applications, feature enhancements and migrations.

The role involves working with modern Java features, Spring Boot, microservices, RESTful APIs and cloud technologies including AWS, Docker or Kubernetes. Frontend work with Angular or React is a plus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Core Java development with modern Java features, SOLID and FP principles.
• 2+ years with Spring/Spring Boot and RESTful API development.
• Experience with microservices, relational databases and SQL; cloud tech such as AWS, Docker or Kubernetes; frontend with Angular/React is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and support Java-based applications and services.
• Analyse business and technical challenges, deliver reliable software solutions.
