Brisbane Catholic Education (BCE) seeks an ICT Operations Manager to steer the school's ICT strategy and delivery. You will lead planning, budgets and a team to ensure robust infrastructure across the St Columban's Caboolture campus.

You’ll provide strategic guidance on technology, manage resources and develop staff, while aligning with the Diocese and education sector demands. This full‑time role includes professional development and a strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• Experience managing ICT operations and advising a leadership team.
• Proven ability to plan and implement sustainable ICT infrastructure.
• Experience managing ICT budgets and workforce planning.
• Associate Diploma/Diploma in ICT or related field required.
• Not required to be Catholic.

Summary

Manage St Columban's IT department and lead the innovative planning and delivery of ICT services, and the school toward achieving its strategic goals and operational excellence.

• Salary: School Officer Level 7 - $52.64/hr + 12.75% Super (School Salary Scale)

About The Opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for:

• Manage the ICT strategic direction of ICT operations within the school, providing strategic advice, analysis and support to the leadership team in relation to ICT
• Investigating and implementing hardware, software and ICT infrastructure, in consultation with the Leadership Team that is sustainable and responsive to the needs of the school community
• Providing strategic advice to the Leadership Team on the operations and future directions of the changing ICT education sector, technology and infrastructure improvement
• Managing the ICT infrastructure and systems budget and resource allocations, providing advice and reports on future requirements
• Managing ICT staff, including performance management, training and development and workforce planning.

About You

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

• Previous management of ICT operations providing expert advice to a leadership team
• Expertise in evaluating and implementing sustainable hardware, software, and ICT infrastructure
• In-depth knowledge of the evolving ICT education sector, to be able to offer strategic advice on technology and infrastructure improvements within a school setting
• Experience in managing ICT budgets, resource allocations, and providing insights on future requirements
• Proven ability to manage and develop ICT staff through performance management, training, and workforce planning
• Tertiary qualification at Associate Diploma/Diploma level in ICT or related field
• For this position you are not required to be Catholic.
