Job summary

Colonial First State in Sydney is seeking an Senior Manager IT Risk and Strategic Enablement to lead risk governance across technology and outsourcings. You will report to Director – IT Risk and Strategic Enablement within the Information Security Department.

The role combines hands-on risk assessments, incident management, KRI monitoring, and board reporting, with a focus on embedding a strong risk culture and influencing senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a risk-related role.
• Stakeholder engagement across senior leaders.
• Leadership of high-performing teams.
• Understanding of technology and data governance risk.
• Knowledge of APRA standards SPS/CPS.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to Line 1 risk management activities for regulatory compliance.
• Lead a team of 2 high performers and foster a high-performance culture.
• Advise senior stakeholders and embed a strong risk culture.
• Lead risk management activities including incident and issue management.
• Drive strategic risk reporting and governance for FAR-aligned decisions.
• Ensure APRA standards compliance and manage outsourcing and IT resiliency risks.
• Guide remediation of control gaps and process weaknesses.
