Job summary

The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet is seeking an IT Release Manager to plan, coordinate and govern the delivery of technology releases across the agency. You will work with ICT delivery teams, business areas, vendors and senior stakeholders to ensure changes are implemented in a controlled, low-risk manner while maintaining availability, security and integrity of government services.

Ideal candidate has ITIL 4 Foundations, extensive release and change management experience, and

Qualifications

ITIL 4 Foundations certification or working knowledge of ITIL practices.
Extensive experience in planning, coordination and communication across technical and non-technical teams.
Experience with enterprise ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow or Cherwell.
Experience with Agile or DevOps delivery environments.

Responsibilities

Lead and govern the agency's ICT release management process and calendar across multiple technology teams.
Coordinate release readiness, dependencies, risks, testing evidence and go/no-go decisions.
Ensure compliance with ICT policies, security requirements and governance frameworks; maintain audit trails.
Monitor and report on release performance, including failed or emergency releases and lessons learned.
Foster collaboration across ICT delivery teams, business stakeholders and external providers.
Oversee transition of new or changed ICT services into operational support.
