Job summary

Brennan is seeking a Senior Technical Lead for its Managed Services team in Thornleigh, Sydney. You will be the dedicated technical authority for a major enterprise client’s infrastructure, delivering high-level support and tailored cloud/hybrid solutions.

Responsibilities include leading cross-functional initiatives, optimizing compute/storage/backup, and ensuring security best practices. Strong VMware, Veeam, Azure, and Windows/Linux expertise are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years IT experience with advanced infrastructure and systems management.
• Expertise in VMware ESXi, vCenter, clustering, HA, DRS, storage management.
• Proficient in Veeam Backup & Replication and CDP.
• Strong knowledge of HPE server infra, storage and SAN switching.
• Experience with Linux and Docker container environments.
• Experience with IIS Web Servers and IIS FTP Servers.
• Microsoft Failover Clustering and SQL Server Availability Groups experience.
• Reverse proxy and load balancing configurations.
• PowerShell scripting and automation expertise.
• Cloud platform expertise with Azure (essential) and AWS/GCP familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical authority for an enterprise client’s infrastructure.
• Provide high-level technical support and tailored solutions onsite in Thornleigh, Sydney.
• Lead ownership of technical outcomes and coordinate cross-functional initiatives.
• Act as senior technical advisor for customers and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor and optimize IT systems in a managed Azure/VMware hybrid environment.
• Manage problem resolution for escalated security and IT issues across cloud and hybrid setups.
• Maintain and administer Windows servers, hypervisors, storage and VMs on premise and in cloud.
• Ensure quality and customer satisfaction through strong technical competence.
