Qualifications

• Proven background as a Senior Investment Data Business Analyst within asset/fund management, superannuation, or investment banking.
• Deep functional domain knowledge of investment operations, financial instruments, and institutional market data providers.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in writing SQL queries, data interrogation, and source-to-target data mapping.
• Expertise in requirements elicitation, process flow modelling (current and future state), data modelling, and functional decomposition.

Responsibilities

• Discovery & Requirements Elicitation: Facilitate cross-team requirements discovery workshops and backlog prioritisation with investment stakeholders; develop comprehensive process flows for current and future state operating models.
• Solution Options & Analysis: Formulate solution options papers, evaluate alternative architectural pathways, and translate complex investment data requirements into detailed functional specifications.
• System Design & Implementation: Partner with data engineers and vendors through design, procurement, configuration, build, and implementation phases of the investment data backlog.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Define testable acceptance criteria, guide dedicated test teams, and champion robust data quality and risk management frameworks.
• Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Management: Maintain SDLC artifacts and central knowledge bases, tracking dependencies across projects.
