NT WorkSafe in Darwin is seeking an experienced investigator to undertake complex investigations arising from serious workplace incidents, injuries and fatalities across the Northern Territory. You will lead investigations from incident response to prosecution, gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses and developing briefs suitable for court proceedings.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in Work Health and Safety legislation and regulatory investigations, with the flexibility to

Qualifications

Proven experience conducting complex investigations from start to finish.
Strong skills in evidence gathering, witness interviewing, and statement writing.
Experience preparing briefs or case files for legal or enforcement proceedings.
Ability to work independently with sound judgement and manage competing priorities.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement.
High level of professionalism and attention to detail.

Responsabilités

Lead complex investigations from initial incident response through to prosecution.
Gather and assess evidence, conduct interviews, prepare witness statements and briefs for court.
Work closely with legal teams and subject matter experts, exercising professional judgement and independence.
Attend site incidences as needed, including travel to remote communities.
