NT WorkSafe is seeking an experienced investigator to undertake complex investigations arising from serious workplace incidents, injuries and fatalities across the Northern Territory.
Working from initial incident response through to prosecution, you'll lead investigations, gather and assess evidence, conduct interviews, prepare witness statements and develop briefs suitable for court proceedings. You'll work closely with legal teams and subject matter experts while exercising a high degree of professional judgement and independence.
This role would particularly suit experienced investigators from policing, criminal investigations, regulatory compliance, professional standards, workplace safety or government enforcement backgrounds who are looking to continue meaningful investigative work while enjoying greater flexibility and balance.
You are an experienced investigator who enjoys managing complex matters from start to finish and building evidence-based cases that stand up to scrutiny. You're confident interviewing witnesses, taking statements, gathering admissible evidence and preparing briefs that may progress to prosecution. To hit the ground running, you'll bring a strong understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation, regulatory investigations and enforcement frameworks. You will have flexibility to attend site incidence at short notice, via road or light aircraft, including visiting remote communities as investigation needs arise.
