Job summary

VECRA is seeking a Senior Investigations Officer to join the Complex Investigations Branch in Victoria. You will conduct in-depth investigations, manage evidence, and prepare detailed reports for decision-makers while engaging with complainants, education providers and regulators.

The role requires high professionalism, discretion and trauma-informed practice. You will work under the Unit Manager across the Complex Investigations Branch, contributing to enforcement and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications and/or experience in regulation, child safety, investigations, or law.
• Valid Victorian Working with Children Check and Victorian Driver's Licence.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough research and compile comprehensive reports for decision makers.
• Undertake evidence collection commensurate with seriousness of allegations to support enforcement or prosecution.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to a diverse audience, in writing and verbally.
• Cultivate relationships with stakeholders and provide expert advice to senior decision-makers.
• Support investigations, complaints management, triage, evidence gathering and reporting within the branch.
