Job summary

Scentre Group, owner and operator of Westfield destinations in Australia and New Zealand, is seeking an accomplished senior leader for its Risk & Internal Audit function.

This 12‑month, full‑time fixed term role will lead the development and delivery of an enterprise‑wide audit strategy, oversee the annual plan, and drive improvements across governance, risk management and controls while leveraging analytics and technology.

Qualifications

• Extensive internal audit leadership experience in a large, complex organisation.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver enterprise‑wide audit and assurance strategies.
• Strong commercial and strategic capability balancing risk, opportunity and outcomes.
• Experience influencing executives, boards and senior stakeholders through transformations.
• Deep understanding of governance frameworks, internal controls and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Scentre Group's Internal Audit and Assurance strategy.
• Lead the annual audit plan and adjust priorities as risks evolve.
• Provide independent assurance over governance, risk management, and controls.
• Deliver risk-based audit activities with high-value impact.
• Report outcomes and remediation progress to committees and senior leaders.
• Translate findings into practical, commercial recommendations to strengthen controls.
• Oversee remediation activities and management actions.
• Maintain audit methodologies and governance frameworks.
• Build trusted relationships across the business and leverage analytics and tech for assurance.
