Populous is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join our Sydney studio and contribute to APAC interiors and design efforts. You will lead interior design concepts, coordinate documentation in Revit, and collaborate with architects and multidisciplinary teams on iconic projects across Sydney and the APAC region.

You should bring 10+ years of experience, a design-led mindset, strong leadership, and expertise in materials and documentation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in interior design, ideally within architecture, interiors or multidisciplinary practice.
• Bachelor’s degree in interior design, interior architecture, architecture or related discipline. Postgraduate qualifications and certifications advantageous.
• Strong design capability with clear narrative and point of view.
• Experience leading teams and packages through delivery.
• Experience delivering complex interior projects across sports, entertainment, hospitality, aviation, cultural or large-scale public environments.

Responsabilités

• Develop and lead interior design concepts in collaboration with APAC Interior Design Lead and project teams.
• Interpret briefs and translate ideas into thoughtful interior environments.
• Lead interior design teams from conception to delivery.
• Explore materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and spatial experiences.
• Develop presentations and visuals to communicate design ideas to clients and stakeholders.
• Coordinate interior design documentation using Revit and ensure alignment with project standards.
• Collaborate with architects to integrate interiors into the broader project vision.
• Coordinate with consultants, suppliers and manufacturers to deliver outcomes.
• Apply knowledge of the Sydney market to guide product selection and specifications.
