Job summary

NextPlay on the Gold Coast is seeking a Senior Integration Engineer to design and build scalable integrations with manufacturers and data providers. You will bring live data from partner APIs and legacy sources, working across SFTP, REST, GraphQL and MCP to deliver robust, scalable data flows.

You will model messy data into clean schemas, collaborate with the principal data engineer, and advocate AI-driven, automated integration approaches in a fast-paced scale-up environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building APIs and complex integrations handling high data volumes.
• Experience with AWS and data-intensive back-end systems.
• Ability to run technical conversations with partner engineers and customers.
• Experience with enterprise-scale integrations and SOA.

Responsibilities

• Design and build integrations with manufacturers, enterprise systems and data providers.
• Bring in live data through partner APIs, alongside legacy data.
• Work across SFTP, REST, GraphQL and MCP.
• Map messy incoming data into clean schemas with the principal data engineer.
• Push for AI led, more automated ways of integrating.
