Job summary

ALRA | Australia's Leading Recruitment Agency is seeking a Special Counsel to lead a major insurance litigation practice. You will own a substantial client portfolio and work with respected Principals on complex matters, shaping the growth of the practice while maintaining autonomy.

You will mentor junior lawyers and help expand the team within a supportive, collaborative environment. A hybrid working arrangement and strong client leadership are central to the role.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years' PAE with experience across multiple insurance lines.
• Strong technical ability and excellent communication skills.
• Commercial approach to client service and ownership of matters.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership as primary contact for a major client and manage a growing portfolio.
• Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to the growth of the team.
• Collaborate with Principals to drive leadership and business development.
• Develop and maintain trusted client relationships and a high-performance practice.
