PHE Group / PHE Engineering in Brisbane invites a Senior Engineer to lead instrumentation and control scopes across the full project lifecycle, from concept to commissioning, working with electrical construction, panel-building and HV teams.
You will develop PLC/DCS/SIS, SCADA/HMI, and OT networks, mentor engineers, review technical work, and help set standards for a growing discipline across power, mining, and infrastructure projects in Australia.
PHE Engineering is growing, and we are looking for a Senior Engineer to help shape our instrumentation, automation and control systems capability.
This is not a narrow design-office role. You will lead work from concept and detailed design through software, panel integration, FAT, SAT and commissioning - alongside PHE's electrical construction, panel-building and high-voltage teams. Your work will reach the field, and you will see the outcome.
Our project pipeline spans power generation, renewables and BESS, mining, gas, manufacturing and major infrastructure. Backed by a national group of 550+ people and 50 years of delivery experience, PHE Engineering offers the influence of a growing team with the delivery strength of an established contractor.
PHE Group is an electrical and instrumentation contractor with five specialist divisions and more than 50 years' experience. From design and installation to commissioning, shutdowns and logistics, we deliver projects that last.
With branches and projects across Australia's key mining regions, we're trusted to deliver where it matters most.
PHE Engineering delivers practical, systems-driven solutions across industrial, energy and infrastructure settings - from HV reticulation including earthing and lightning protection through to LV power and lighting design, as well as in automation, control systems and operational technology. At every stage of their career, our people are supported to learn, grow and succeed, while gaining exposure to the projects shaping Australia's future.
As part of PHE Group, our reputation is reinforced by recognition at both State and National levels. At the 2025 NECA SA/NT Excellence Awards, we secured honours across the Industrial Large ($2M-$20M) and Industrial X-Large ($20M+) categories for BHP's Carrapateena Hydrofloat and Underground Crusher 2.0 projects respectively. We also received the Perpetual Award - the judges' highest accolade, reserved for the project they consider the standout submission across all categories - recognising excellence in safety, quality, innovation and culture.
This success was followed by national recognition at the 2025 NECA National Excellence Awards, where PHE Group received the Industrial X-Large Project ($20M+) award for the Carrapateena Underground Crusher 2.0 project, and a Certificate of Commendation - Industrial Large ($2M-$20M) for the Carrapateena Hydrofloat project. These achievements highlight the calibre of our people and affirm the standards that guide our work across every division of PHE Group.
Come be a part of that success. Join an award-winning team - and take your place in delivering projects that are shaping the future of Australia's evolving sectors and the electrical industry.
