Zusammenfassung

ConocoPhillips Australia seeks an Instrument & Control Specialist to join the M&R team. You will apply advanced instrumentation knowledge to support maintenance strategies, troubleshoot equipment and contribute to defect elimination and continuous improvement.

Reporting to the M&R Supervisor – Reliability, you will mentor teams, review test results, manage change requests and ensure compliance with safety standards while delivering reliable, cost-efficient instrument and control solutions.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 10+ years of industrial instrumentation and control experience in oil & gas, petrochemical or heavy industry.
• Electrical Trade Qualification with Queensland Electrical Mechanic License.
• Experience in maintenance and fault finding of instrumentation equipment including valves, actuators, sensors, safety systems.
• Strong knowledge of PLC, DCS and SIS control systems.
• Formal EEHA installation and maintenance competency with 5+ years exposure.
• Experience with SAP or similar CMMS for maintenance.
• Knowledge of PTW systems and regulatory requirements.

Aufgaben

• Troubleshoot Instrument and Control equipment and provide technical clarifications.
• Coach Maintenance and Production Operations teams on Instrumentation aspects.
• Review critical function test results and develop action plans.
• Support Change Requests and Deferment Processes to improve maintenance execution.
• Audit instrument maintenance and spare parts, manage costs.
• Provide input to scoping Instrumentation and Controls maintenance tasks.
• Oversee short-term contract personnel on site.
