Profile Systems in Sydney is seeking a Senior Installer / Leading Hand to lead installation teams on commercial furniture projects across Sydney and NSW. You will ensure installations meet our high standards, coordinate with Project Managers, builders and clients, and mentor junior installers on site.

The role requires 5+ years' experience, leadership ability, and a strong eye for detail. You will read architectural drawings, supervise on-site activities, and travel to project sites as needed

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Senior Installer / Leading Hand to join our Sydney team and take a leadership role across our commercial furniture installation projects.

About the Role

This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced commercial furniture installer who is ready to take the next step in their career.

As a Senior Installer / Leading Hand, you will lead installation teams on commercial projects throughout Sydney and NSW, ensuring furniture is delivered, installed and completed to Profile Systems' high standards.

You will work closely with our Project Managers, Warehouse team, builders, subcontractors and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule.

This role will suit someone who takes pride in their workmanship, has excellent attention to detail and is confident leading a team while still being prepared to get hands-on and complete the work.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise installation teams across commercial furniture projects.

Install workstations, desks, screens, storage, lockers and loose furniture.

Read and interpret architectural drawings, plans and furniture layouts.

Coordinate daily installation activities and allocate tasks to team members.

Liaise professionally with Project Managers, builders, site supervisors and clients.

Ensure installations are completed accurately and in accordance with project specifications.

Conduct quality checks and ensure any issues are rectified promptly.

Identify and communicate site issues, discrepancies or potential delays.

Ensure furniture is handled, transported and installed without damage.

Maintain clean, organised and safe work sites.

Ensure all work complies with WHS and site-specific requirements.

Assist with deliveries, unloading and movement of furniture when required.

Train, mentor and support junior installers.

Assist Project Managers with project completion, defects and final inspections.

Represent Profile Systems professionally when dealing with clients and other contractors.

Travel to project sites throughout Sydney and NSW, with occasional interstate travel where required.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

5+ years' experience in commercial furniture installation, joinery, shopfitting or a related industry.

Previous experience leading an installation team or acting as a Leading Hand.

Strong knowledge of commercial furniture installation.

Ability to read and understand architectural drawings and furniture layouts.

Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

Strong communication and leadership skills.

Ability to work independently and confidently manage a team on site.

A practical and solutions-focused approach.

Good organisational and time-management skills.

A strong understanding of workplace health and safety.

A professional approach when dealing with clients, builders and other contractors.

Current driver's licence.

Experience with large commercial office fit-outs.

Strong experience installing workstations and commercial furniture.

White Card.

Basic understanding of construction and commercial fit-out processes.
