Absolute Security Screens & Blinds in Narangba, QLD is seeking a Senior Security Screen & Blind Installation Technician. You will install security screens and blinds, work with custom-made products, and bring strong trade judgement to every job.

You'll measure on site, consult customers, and represent the company with a friendly, professional approach. Local work, weekday hours, and ongoing training are offered, with a fully maintained company vehicle and tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in security screen industry or similar construction trade.
• Experience installing security screens and blinds and working with custom-made products.
• Strong problem-solving and judgement under pressure.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team across jobs.

Responsibilities

• Install security screens and blinds, including custom-made products.
• Take measurements and consult with customers on site.
• Collaborate with other installers when required.
• Provide friendly, professional service at customers' homes.

About the Role

You'll be installing security screens and internal & external blinds with confidence, from the straightforward jobs to the more complex ones, working with custom made, custom cut products, so there's minimal cutting required onsite. You'll bring the judgement to problem solve as issues come up, and the initiative to work independently, while also being a genuine team player, happy to work alongside other installers when a job calls for it and pitch in wherever the team needs you.

You may also assist with measures and onsite customer consultations. If you've already got experience here, even better — if not, we'll teach you. Either way, you'll be the face of Absolute Security Screens & Blinds in our customers' homes, so a friendly, professional manner that leaves people happy with both you and the finished job matters just as much as the installation work.

An experienced carpenter, cabinet maker, glazier or tradesperson looking for a change of pace — still hands-on, still skilled work, just easier on the body

A security screen installer or subbie who's tired of running their own business — chasing leads, quoting, invoicing, and managing everything solo — and wants the stability and backing of an established company

Someone with 5+ years' experience in the security screen industry or a similar construction/glazing trade, who takes real pride in their work and has the eye for detail to prove it

A natural problem solver who can diagnose and resolve a tricky install without needing to be told how

Ideally located locally to the Narangba area

Enjoy working in a smoke free workplace

You'll also need a Queensland Construction White Card and an open manual driver's licence. A Certificate III in Blinds, Awnings, Security Screens and Grilles (or a related trade qualification) is highly regarded but not essential — what matters most is the experience and judgement behind it.
