NESA in Sydney NSW is seeking a Senior Inspector, Regulation of Schooling to provide professional and policy leadership and oversee regulatory programs ensuring schools meet legislative requirements. You will plan on-site inspections, reviews and investigations, prepare high-quality reports, and build strong relationships with schools and government bodies to improve education standards across NSW.

This ongoing, full-time role is hybrid with salary around 222,174 per year plus superannuation;

Qualifikationen

• Demonstrated experience leading complex regulatory, compliance, audit, review or inspection activities within a legislative and policy framework.
• Ability to analyse complex information, exercise sound judgement and develop practical solutions under pressure.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills for diverse audiences.

Aufgaben

• Providing professional leadership and operational oversight of regulatory programs (including non-government school registration and accreditation, recognition and CRICOS approvals).
• Reviewing and analysing applications, evidence and documentation against legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Planning and conducting on-site inspections, reviews and investigations using a risk-based approach.
• Preparing high-quality reports, recommendations, briefings, correspondence and advice for senior decision-makers and committees.
• Monitoring compliance frameworks and regulatory systems across government and non-government schooling sectors.
• Providing expert advice to support policy development and data management practices.
