NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) is seeking a senior leader to head the Assessment Officers team responsible for initial teacher accreditation applications across NSW. The role focuses on accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with legislation and policy, and leads operational excellence.

You will drive continuous improvement, manage workloads, engage with stakeholders, and mentor staff to deliver high-quality accreditation services.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading high-performing teams in busy environments.
• Experience managing high-volume assessment, compliance, or application processing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using evidence and policy.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Assessment Officers to assess initial teacher accreditation applications with accuracy and timeliness.
• Monitor performance, workload distribution and service standards to meet targets.
• Provide guidance on complex accreditation matters and ensure compliance with legislation and policy.
• Coach and develop team capability, fostering collaboration and continuous learning.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
• Analyze performance data to inform improvements and decision-making.
• Maintain up-to-date process documentation and stakeholder relationships.
