Job summary

Westpac Group is seeking a skilled mainframe specialist to support our complex IBM Z mainframe environment in Sydney. You will focus on performance and capacity planning, investigate complex incidents, and evaluate infrastructure changes to keep mainframe services reliable and fit for purpose.

The role involves collaborating with internal teams, partners and vendors to drive service improvements, technical designs and recovery planning.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of IBM Z Systems and mainframe operations.
• Experience with mainframe performance analysis and capacity planning.
• Knowledge of mainframe technologies such as z/OS, IMS, CICS and DB2.
• Strong analysis, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and build effective relationships with internal teams, partners and vendors
