Job summary

Experis Executive in Canberra seeks a Senior Network Engineer to lead F5 BIG-IP platforms across critical infrastructure. You will drive availability, performance and security while collaborating with network, security and project teams on upgrades and cyber security initiatives.

Responsibilities include administration of LTM/DNS-GTM/APM, design of load balancing and SSL/TLS architectures, complex troubleshooting, platform upgrades and disaster recovery support.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing F5 BIG-IP platforms in large enterprises.
• Expertise in LTM, DNS/GTM, APM and SSL/TLS.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing and firewalls.
• Proficient Linux/UNIX troubleshooting.
• Experience with automation: Python, Terraform or Ansible.
• F5 and cyber security certifications are advantageous.

Job description

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across F5 BIG-IP technologies, ensuring the availability, performance and security of critical infrastructure services. You'll work closely with network, security, infrastructure and project teams to deliver upgrades, cyber security initiatives, platform enhancements and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support F5 BIG-IP platforms including LTM, DNS/GTM and APM
• Design and maintain load balancing, SSL/TLS, traffic management and high availability solutions
• Lead complex troubleshooting, performance tuning and root cause analysis activities
• Deliver platform upgrades, vulnerability remediation and infrastructure refresh projects
• Support disaster recovery, business continuity and operational readiness initiatives
• Develop technical documentation and mentor internal technical teams

About You

• Extensive experience supporting F5 BIG-IP platforms in large enterprise environments
• Strong expertise in LTM, DNS/GTM, APM, SSL/TLS, iRules and high availability architectures
• Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, firewalls and network security
• Strong Linux/UNIX troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Experience with automation tools such as Python, Terraform or Ansible
• F5 certifications and relevant networking or cyber security certifications are highly regarded
