Job summary

Pinpoint Talent, LLC is seeking a Senior Infrastructure / Network Engineer with strong F5 expertise to join a large Australian Government environment in Canberra. The role includes engineering, administration, optimisation and operational support of enterprise F5 BIG-IP platforms (LTM, DNS/GTM, APM).

The position is hybrid with initial six weeks onsite, 12-month contract with extensions up to 24 months, and NV1 clearance is required prior to commencement.

Qualifications

• Senior level F5 BIG-IP engineering experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of LTM, DNS/GTM and APM components.
• Hands-on UNIX/Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with SSL/TLS, packet and log analysis, root-cause investigation.
• Proficient in scripting/automation with Python, Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience in data centre networking, firewalls and load balancing.

Responsibilities

• Administer and engineer enterprise F5 BIG-IP platforms.
• Design and maintain virtual servers, pools, monitors, SSL/TLS profiles, iRules and traffic policies.
• Troubleshoot complex F5, application and network issues with packet captures.

• Troubleshoot complex F5, application and network issues, including packet captures and traffic analysis.
• Lead F5 upgrades, vulnerability remediation, hardware refresh and lifecycle activities.
• Support data centre networking, resilience, disaster recovery and change activities.

• Develop technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer and mentoring.
