Job summary

Experis Pty Ltd on behalf of ManpowerGroup’s client in Melbourne seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement and manage enterprise storage, backup, and data centre infrastructure, supporting HPC and data‑intensive workloads.

You will apply IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes orchestration to deliver robust, scalable infrastructure. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement and exposure to cutting-edge technology in a collaborative, high‑performance team.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and supporting enterprise storage environments.
• Experience with Linux operating systems and command-line tools.
• Expertise in designing, deploying, and managing production-grade VMware virtualisation environments.
• Solid understanding of data centre infrastructure principles relevant to HPC and storage environments.
• Experience working within enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Experience with designing and building infrastructure solutions that align with security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the strategic planning, design, implementation and maintenance of enterprise high-performance storage solutions (SAN, NAS, object storage), backup platforms, and virtualisation platforms.
• Manage and plan the complex architectural design, deployment, and ongoing management of storage capacity, performance, and data protection.
• Provide technical expertise to ensure infrastructure solutions are delivered in accordance with approved technical architectures and operational models.
• Manage and undertake the design and upkeep of data centre facility and network infrastructure components critical for the operation of compute, storage, and virtualisation environments.
• Apply engineering principles, including version control, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) to ensure robust and repeatable deployments across both Kubernetes and underlying infrastructure.
