Job summary

Kinexus is a specialist defence and national security recruitment agency partnering with a large defence prime to source top-tier infrastructure leadership roles in Sydney.

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will lead the build and management of internal systems, ensuring high security and uptime in line with DISP and defence frameworks, while coordinating with vendors and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in IT or related field with extensive experience.
• Minimum 10 years IT experience including at least 3 years in a lead role.
• Experience with Dell and VMware-based servers.

Responsibilities

• Support the build and management of local infrastructure (servers, storage, networks).
• Manage vendors, contracts, and stakeholder relationships.
• Ensure infrastructure and application controls follow defence security policies (DISP).
• Manage the budget and drive cost optimization of digital technology services.
• Lead ICT systems upgrade and deployment projects.
