Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a major Area 1 package within the Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard program in Adelaide. You will plan, coordinate and execute complex infrastructure and construction projects, delivering safely, on schedule and within budget.

You will work with engineering, commercial, construction and contractor teams to drive delivery milestones, manage interfaces, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering major capital projects valued in hundreds of millions.
• Lifecycle management from planning to handover.
• Strong scheduling, cost control and risk reporting capabilities.
• Experience with engineering, construction and contractor teams.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and contract management.
• Desirable defence/maritime/major government program experience.
• Relevant degree and professional PM certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of Area 1 projects and packages.
• Develop and execute delivery strategies aligned with program goals.
• Manage scope, schedule, cost and quality against baselines.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
• Oversee contractor and supplier performance.
• Drive risk identification and mitigation.
• Provide governance reporting, forecasts and performance insights.
• Ensure safety, environmental and regulatory compliance.
• Support commissioning and handover activities.
• Manage interfaces between design, procurement, construction, and operations.
