Job summary

AECOM Australia Pty Ltd in Queensland seeks an Associate Director - Contract Administrator to lead major road and transport contracts and guide project teams to deliver on time and within contract standards.

You will provide senior contractual and commercial leadership across the full lifecycle, manage variations and claims, and collaborate with government clients and contractors to secure successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent recognised by Engineers Australia.
• RPEQ registration.
• 20+ years in the contract administration and delivery of major road infrastructure projects.
• Experience as Contract Administrator, Superintendent or Principal’s Representative.
• Strong knowledge of major contract types and variations, claims, extensions of time and notices.
• Understanding of civil construction and road infrastructure delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead administration of high-value road contracts to meet time, cost, quality, and safety objectives.
• Act as Superintendent or Contract Administrator depending on project and client requirements.
• Provide senior contractual and commercial leadership across the full project lifecycle.
• Manage variations, claims, extensions of time, payment claims and notices.
• Resolve complex contractual issues with negotiation and commercial awareness.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams of engineers and external advisors.
• Establish project governance, reporting and contract administration processes.
• Monitor expenditure, payments, and emerging commercial risks.
