Job summary

face2face Recruitment is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Automation Specialist) to design, deploy and manage enterprise OpenShift/OpenStack infrastructure. You will develop automation solutions, implement end-to-end observability, and streamline developer experiences to support reliable, scalable digital services.

You will build automation scripts, IaC and CI/CD pipelines, and deploy scalable clusters while enhancing telemetry across cloud platforms.

Qualifications

Proven experience with enterprise-scale container platforms such as Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes.
Strong knowledge of OpenStack, private cloud infrastructure, virtualization and Linux administration.
Demonstrated expertise in telemetry, observability, instrumentation and data collection pipelines.
Hands-on experience developing automation scripts, infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience integrating monitoring solutions across complex infrastructure environments.
Familiarity with developer workspace tooling, such as OpenShift Dev Spaces, and relevant platform certifications is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy and automate the provisioning and scaling of OpenShift and OpenStack clusters.
Implement and maintain telemetry pipelines, instrumentation and collectors across infrastructure environments.
Develop and maintain infrastructure as code, automation scripts and deployment playbooks. Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment efficiency and consistency.
Monitor and optimise application and infrastructure performance across cloud platforms.
Configure and manage developer tooling, including cloud IDEs and OpenShift Dev Spaces.
