Job summary

BDO’s Audit Professional Practice Department seeks a detail-oriented Information Systems Auditor to join the Tech Risk Assurance team. Based in Melbourne (preferred) with flexibility for Sydney or Brisbane, you will lead IT risk and assurance engagements across clients, supervise staff, and help grow the practice.

You will leverage knowledge of SOC 2, ISACA guidance and COBIT, taking ownership from planning to reporting while delivering practical, business-focused recommendations.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT risk, information security and technology assurance within professional services or audit environments.
• Strong knowledge of audit standards and frameworks (SOC 2, ISACA, COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST).
• Certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CISM, CISSP are highly desirable or pursued.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver a portfolio of technology risk and assurance engagements (ITGC, application controls).
• Plan, manage and execute IT general and application control audits.
• Develop training programs, methodologies, tools and knowledge sharing.
• Oversee engagement planning, budgeting, resourcing and client relationships.
