Job summary

BDO in Australia is seeking a senior Risk Advisory professional to lead internal audits, reviews and risk assessments for financial services clients. You will work with Partners and Senior Management to deliver audits, health checks and advisory engagements, with autonomy and client contact.

Based in Sydney, travel to client sites may be required. You will mentor a growing team and contribute to development of methodologies and service offerings within the Risk Advisory Practice.

Qualifications

• Accounting or business related tertiary qualification.
• Certifications: CIA, CA, CPA, CISA, PRINCE2 (or equivalent).
• Experience with IIA Standards and Practices.
• Experience with ERP systems SAP, Oracle or TechOne.
• Willingness to travel within Australia.

Responsibilities

• Deliver internal audits and risk assurance projects per BDO methodologies.
• Recommend policy and control improvements to clients.
• Participate in business development activities and proposals.
• Prepare scoping documents and project reports.
• Mentor and supervise internal audit staff and teams.
• Drive continuous improvement of processes and tools.
