Job summary

ING Bank (Australia) Limited seeks an experienced Information Risk Manager to provide independent oversight across Technology and Data Risk, strengthening resilience and enabling secure innovation. You’ll partner with senior leaders across Technology, Risk, Compliance and the wider business, shaping risk frameworks and challenging risk decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in Technology Risk, Cyber Risk, Information Security or Compliance in banking or finance.
• Strong understanding of tech and data risk, cyber security, resilience, and risk governance.
• Knowledge of CPS 220/230/234 and third‑party risk obligations.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders with constructive challenge.

Responsibilities

• Be a trusted second-line advisor on Technology and Data Risk across the bank.
• Partner with tech and business teams to identify and manage risks during major change.
• Help shape risk frameworks, policies and standards for secure growth.
• Challenge risk assessments, control effectiveness and remediation plans.
• Monitor emerging risks and regulatory changes to support decisions.
• Provide oversight of technology, cyber security, data management and AI risks.
• Lead reviews and assurance activities to strengthen controls.
• Build relationships across levels to foster a risk-aware culture.
