Job summary

Aurora Healthcare is seeking a Senior Industrial Relations Advisor to provide expert, practical advice across the organisation, leading complex casework, enterprise bargaining and dispute resolution. You will monitor changes in industrial relations law, translate them into policies, and work with executives and site leaders to achieve fair, sustainable workforce outcomes.

Qualifications

• Extensive IR experience in multi-site or highly regulated settings.
• Proven success leading enterprise bargaining and interpreting enterprise agreements.
• Strong knowledge of Australian workplace laws including the Fair Work Act.
• Advanced negotiation, advocacy and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel to sites, bargaining meetings and hearings as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, risk-based advice to executives and leaders on industrial relations.
• Monitor legislative developments and translate them into practical actions, policies and plans.
• Identify emerging IR workforce risks using cases and workforce data; recommend controls.
• Plan and lead enterprise bargaining, including preparation, stakeholder engagement, costing, negotiation and communication.
• Meet good-faith bargaining obligations and maintain records and logs.
• Advise on coverage and interpretation of agreements, awards and standards.
• Coordinate implementation of approved agreements and processes.
• Manage IR grievances and disputes; represent in conciliation and proceedings.
