Job summary

Sharp & Carter is assisting a household-name organisation with a national footprint to recruit a Leasing Paralegal. You will manage a broad range of retail and commercial leasing matters across Australia and New Zealand, from initial drafting through to completion, applying commercial judgement and practical solutions.

The role is hands-on, offering substantial responsibility and exposure to senior commercial stakeholders, landlords and external advisers in a fast-paced property team.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years experience as a Leasing Paralegal or equivalent
• Strong technical understanding of retail and commercial leasing
• Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating leasing documentation
• Comfort engaging with landlords, lawyers and senior stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Manage a high volume of retail and commercial leasing matters across Australia and New Zealand
• Draft, review and negotiate leasing documentation
• Work with landlords, managing agents, external solicitors and internal stakeholders to facilitate transactions
• Identify contractual risks and recommend commercially appropriate solutions
• Handle leasing execution, stamping, registration and PEXA requirements
• Maintain and improve leasing precedents, templates and processes
• Support the Property Legal team on strategic property matters
