Job summary

The Ethical Consulting Group is seeking a Senior ICT Project Manager (EL2 equivalent) for opportunities in Brisbane, Canberra or Melbourne. This contract role may start onsite and evolve to hybrid arrangements after six weeks, with an anticipated start around early January 2027.

You will lead complex technology initiatives, directing design, planning, delivery and evaluation while collaborating with executives, technical specialists and stakeholders across the agency.

Qualifications

• Large, complex ICT projects delivery experience.
• Senior project management capability including governance, budgets and stakeholder expectations.
• Experience leading significant organisational change and managing implementation impacts.
• Ability to drive scoping and prioritisation, resolve competing needs and manage baseline changes.
• Strong financial management skills with cost monitoring and reporting.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex ICT projects, managing scope, schedules, budgets, resources and interdependencies.
• Establish and maintain project governance, reporting and decision-making arrangements.
• Manage risks, issues, change control, quality and benefits throughout delivery.
• Lead organisational change and support operational integration of outcomes.
• Oversee procurement, contracts, financial reporting and expenditure.
• Guide requirements definition, prioritisation and baseline management.
• Build relationships with executives, business teams, technicians and external stakeholders.
• Prepare and review business cases, project plans, executive briefs and performance reports.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and coach for capability development.
