Job summary

Water Technology seeks a Senior Hydrogeologist to lead groundwater investigations and support water resource projects across Australia. The role allows flexible location with national office bases, offering opportunities to guide field programs and model development.

You will bring 5+ years of hydrogeology experience, strong data interpretation, GIS skills, and the ability to manage client relationships and project delivery within multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in hydrogeology, geology, engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years' professional hydrogeology experience.
• Experience delivering groundwater investigations and impact assessments.
• Strong understanding of hydrogeological systems and groundwater processes.
• Experience interpreting large datasets and using GIS.
• Strong report writing, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience managing field investigations including drilling and groundwater testing.
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver hydrogeological investigations, assessments and groundwater studies.
• Interpret groundwater data and develop conceptual hydrogeological models.
• Plan and oversee field programs including drilling, aquifer testing and sampling.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules and technical delivery.
• Build relationships with clients, regulators and stakeholders.
