Job summary

AECOM in Sydney is seeking a Senior Hydraulic Engineer to lead technically complex hydraulic designs for major building projects. You will ensure NCC compliance and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, high-quality outcomes.

The role involves client engagement, scope definition, and mentoring junior engineers to build capability and excellence within the team.

As we look to grow our Buildings Services Team, we are currently looking for a Senior Hydraulic Engineer to join our Building Engineering team, based in Sydney.

How you’ll make a difference

• Lead the delivery of technically complex hydraulic designs across major building projects, ensuring compliance with NCC, Australian Standards, and local authority requirements.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineers, technicians, and designers to solve technical challenges and ensure integrated, high-quality project outcomes.
• Partner with project managers and team leaders to align on priorities, resourcing, and programdelivery, contributing to project success and team performance.
• Engage directly with external clients to define project scopes, manage expectations, and deliver practical engineering solutions.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and designers through technical guidance, reviews, and knowledge sharing to build team capability and excellence.
