Arcadis is seeking an experienced Substation Engineer to deliver national HV/EHV projects. You will lead technical project teams, provide guidance, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure high-quality outcomes on major substations and energy integration projects.

You will bring 12–15 years in substations, with strong authority on earthing, bonding, and protection systems, plus Chartered/RPEQ status.

Qualifications

12–15 years' experience as substation engineer with 5+ years as technical authority for HV/EHV primary, earthing and bonding.
Tertiary qualification in electrical/power engineering; chartered status and RPEQ preferred.
Excellent spoken and written communication; MS Office knowledge.
Experience in a design consultancy role.
Proven ability to lead design teams and deliver substation design packages.
Knowledge of CDEGS earthing modelling desirable.
HV substation design, protection systems, power system studies.
Ability to model power systems in ETAP or equivalents.
Ability to run transient studies in ATP/PSCAD/EMTP.
Ability to develop EMC management plans and maintenance strategies.

Responsabilités

Preparing and delivering complex designs, reports, and presentations to clients.
Lead HV/EHV substation primary design and earthing work.
Collaborate with other design disciplines to ensure design integrity.
Lead and mentor younger team members.
Provide technical guidance to clients and stakeholders and propose alternatives.
Coordinate with the Project Manager and client on project developments.
Define configurations for substations and energy integration.
