Job summary
Stantec Australia is seeking an experienced Equipment Engineer to work on HV/EHV substations and associated equipment across Australia. You will prepare specifications for transformers, GIS, switchgear, breakers, and related plant while supporting procurement, testing and commissioning activities.
You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, manage multiple priorities, and ensure design compliance. The role requires a Chartered Engineer with Australian experience and a valid driver's
Qualifications
- Professionally qualified electrical engineer with a focus on HV/EHV substations and equipment.
- Experience with equipment procurement, vendor design reviews and testing & commissioning.
- Familiarity with Civil/Structural and Protection & Control interfaces in substation projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare technical specifications for major equipment, construction and Testing & Commissioning.
- Provide technical support for procurement, construction and commissioning.
- Review and approve vendor drawings for new equipment.
- Review and approve test results from pre and post testing, sign Test Report Cover Sheet for new equipment.
- Develop safe engineering solutions and interpret engineering specs on complex assignments.
- Perform on-site quality control and monitor design compliance.
