Job summary

Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation – Cairns QLD is seeking a Senior HR Advisor (Indigenous Identified) to lead Indigenous employment initiatives. The role focuses on connecting with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, mentoring teams, and developing targeted recruitment strategies to attract Indigenous applicants.

You will work in a diverse HR team, travel to national parks for outreach, and contribute to shaping an inclusive culture through coaching and program delivery.

Qualifications

• Indigenous identified recruitment experience preferred.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Experience developing recruitment strategies targeting Indigenous applicants.

A key aspect of this role is to connect with our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees, so yes yarning is essential - often with coffee in hand! Are you highly organised, with great problem-solving skills? With interest in developing and implementing strategies targeted at attracting and recruiting Indigenous applicants?

No two days are the same, the work is diverse and engaging, with some travel - noting we have access to some pretty awesome National Parks!

The team you'll be working with has a wealth of Human Resources knowledge and strive to make a difference in the Indigenous employment space, with support options such as mentoring and coaching.
