Job summary

DT Infrastructure is seeking a Senior Health & Safety Advisor to lead safety advice and practical support for the Majors Creek Project near Woodstock, 40km south of Townsville. This hands-on role focuses on implementing HSE management systems and mentoring teams on site.

Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, you will conduct inspections, audits, incident investigations, and drive continuous improvement while promoting a proactive safety culture across construction activities.

Qualifications

Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Health, Safety & Environment with a WHS Certificate IV or equivalent.
Minimum 6 years' experience in an HSE practitioner role in construction, infrastructure or renewable projects.
Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, contractor management and safety management systems.
Experience conducting inspections, audits and incident investigations with corrective actions.

Responsibilities

Provide practical HSE advice, coaching and support to project leadership and subcontractors to promote safe practices.
Support implementation and continuous improvement of HSE management plans and risk registers.
Conduct site inspections, audits and field observations to identify and manage hazards.
Support incident investigations and drive corrective actions to closure.
Deliver safety training and awareness initiatives while mentoring less experienced HSE practitioners.
Monitor HSE performance and report on trends to drive continuous improvement.
