ALS is seeking an experienced Senior Advisor HSE Projects for a six-month contract based in Scoresby. You will support the national rollout of ALS’s global HSE management system and help harmonise HSE practices across Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.

Working with business leaders, laboratory management, HSE teams, HR, HSRs and Safety Champions, you will provide practical advice, deliver training and embed consistent approaches to safety, risk management and regulatory compliance.

Competenze

• Tertiary qualification in Health and Safety, Environmental Science or related discipline.
• Experience in a strategic HSE advisory role within a multi-site or high-risk environment.
• Strong knowledge of Australian safety legislation, WorkSafe regulations, injury management and return-to-work practices.
• Experience managing psychosocial hazards.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, training and coaching skills.
• Proficiency in HSE management systems and Microsoft Office.
• Current driver’s licence and ability to travel interstate.

The Role

ALS is seeking an experienced Senior Advisor HSE Projects for a six-month contract based in Scoresby. You will support the national rollout of ALS’s global HSE management system and help harmonise HSE practices across operations in Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania. Working with business leaders, laboratory management, HSE teams, HR, HSRs and Safety Champions, you will provide practical advice, deliver training and embed consistent approaches to safety, risk management and regulatory compliance. The role will also provide temporary leave coverage for the Senior HSE Advisor for approximately 8–10 weeks.

The day to day

• Continue the national rollout of key HSE projects and management systems.
• Support HSE integration and harmonisation across multiple businesses and sites.

The essentials

You will have a tertiary qualification in Health and Safety, Environmental Science or a related discipline, supported by experience in a strategic HSE advisory role within a multi-site or high-risk environment. You will bring strong knowledge of Australian safety legislation, WorkSafe regulations, injury management and return-to-work practices, along with experience managing psychosocial hazards. Success in this role will also require excellent stakeholder engagement, training and coaching skills, proficiency in HSE management systems and Microsoft Office, and a proactive approach to risk and continuous improvement. A current driver’s licence and the flexibility to travel interstate are essential.
